Team Chat
Navigator can post a notification to your team channel when a task finishes, so
the people who care about a feature hear about it without you switching windows.
It’s off by default ("none") — opt in by setting team_chat.
Config
{
"team_chat": "slack"
}team_chat—"slack" | "discord" | "none"."none"(default): no chat messages are sent; the finish protocol simply skips the notify step.
What gets notified
The notification fires as the last step of the autonomous finish protocol — after the work is committed, the task doc archived, and any PM ticket closed. A completion message announces:
- the task ID and feature name,
- that the task is complete (committed / ticket closed),
- a link to the implementation plan or ticket.
Notifications are tied to task completion — they are not progress pings or per-commit chatter. One message, when the work ships.
Example
team_chat: "slack"
[task TASK-07 completed]
→ commit + archive + close ticket
→ Slack: "✅ TASK-07 — Stripe payment flow shipped. Plan: .agent/tasks/TASK-07-stripe.md"With team_chat: "discord" the same message posts to the configured Discord
channel; with "none" nothing is sent.
