nav-marker
Create a context save point that preserves conversation state so you can resume work later without re-explaining everything.
Triggers
Natural-language phrases that auto-invoke the skill:
- “save my progress”
- “create checkpoint”
- “mark this point”
- “before I take a break” / “save before lunch”
- “risky refactor ahead” / “experiment with new approach”
- “end of day” / “stopping for today”
What it does
- Ensures
.agent/.context-markers/exists, then derives a marker name from your input or auto-generatesmarker-{YYYY-MM-DD}-{HHmm}. - Writes a markdown marker capturing conversation summary, docs loaded, files modified, current focus, technical decisions, and next steps.
- Captures Theory of Mind sections: user intent and goals, stated preferences, corrections made, and belief state (what you know, assumptions made, uncertainty areas).
- Records Loop Mode state (iteration, phase, exit signal) and Knowledge Graph state (surfaced memories, active concepts) when present.
- Verifies the written file is non-empty, logs an md5 checksum to
.agent/.marker-log, and reports the marker path and size.
Example
"Save my progress before I refactor the routing layer"Navigator writes .agent/.context-markers/{timestamp}_before-routing-refactor.md with the full session state, verifies it, and tells you how to restore it later. Markers are git-ignored and typically 2-5k tokens.
